Description
Important: review the migration guide before proceeding.
The Trellis Migrations converts your current Trellis setup to the Feast Plugin with Foodie Pro 5, with all Trellis technology integrated, plus recommended settings, and additional functionality from the Feast Plugin.
Your category and posts will remain as is, but everything else will be updated to the entirely brand new, rewritten format through the Feast Plugin that keeps your site more up to date.
Feast Plugin Setup

It has all the Trellis technology incorporated to ensure consistency with:
- SEO
- pagespeed and core web vitals
- user experience

All of this can be done yourself by following the tutorials, but for bloggers with too much on their plate already, we now offer this for free to existing Trellis users.

A theme is only a very small part of running a content site, and you may require additional plugins and functionality from third parties that aren't covered by this.
Hosting
We strongly recommend you are either on BigScoots managed WordPress hosting, or migrate to them prior to the conversion. This is not required however.
As part of this process we will be regenerating thumbnails on your site, which will require additional disk space. You may or may not need to upgrade your hosting disk space to account for this.
We will not be deleting any pre-existing thumbnails in order to avoid image breakage. This means that you will have a lot of unused thumbnails sitting on your server. The risk of deleting images is greater than the cost of storing unused thumbnails.
Timeframe
After purchasing, you'll be given a timeline for when this will be completed. The timeline varies based on how many sites are in queue and is not something we can determine ahead of time.
We strongly recommend using a staging site, but will perform this on a live site if those are the login details you provide
On the day of the conversion, no work can be performed on the live site.
Notes
- While Trellis lazyloads comments, the majority of sites do not. Instead, setting the comments-per-page to 15 and having paginated comments is the supported method moving forward. This is done to reduce the DOM nodes on the page.
