    Customization Referrals

Our goal at Feast Design Co. is to help you get your theme installed and configured like the theme demo site.

We understand that sometimes you'd like to do a bit of customization to make the theme your own, too.

We're happy to help point you in the right direction with simple customizations, but some customization requests require development work that falls outside the scope of our support.

Make sure to read up on our instructions for making customizations to the child themes with the Code Snippets plugin to avoid problems with updating the theme.

Also, continually ask yourself: Why am I making this change?

    Project scope

It's critical to be crystal clear when communicating with these partners, about what you want.

The number one issue that designers and developers have with new clients is that they're vague about what they want, and constantly change the project scope.

When you reach out to any customization partner, by explicitly clear about:

    • which pages you want to change
    • which sections of which pages you want to change
    • which device (mobile, desktop, tablet) you're optimizing for
    • what color, font, white space, border you want
    • what your time frame is
    • what your budget is

Understand that projects are constrained by the "project management triangle":

    Customization partners

If you would like to get hired help, we can recommend the following as knowledgeable and reliable customization services:

    • One Happy Studio from Susan Ramsey
    • Codeable.io WordPress Outsourcing

    WordPress Training

Yoast has a free WordPress training course that every new blogger should take, and even some intermediate bloggers.

We highly recommend WordPress training from OneHappyStudio if you're new to WordPress or are having difficulty with learning the best way to do something. A couple of sessions will skyrocket your technical competence and save you hundreds of hours in the long run.

    WordPress Support Plans

If you're generally overwhelmed with managing your WordPress blog (or just don't feel like doing it anymore), you may need ongoing support and maintenance.

    We recommend Andrew @ NerdPress.

    Custom Website Builds

Our themes started off as full custom website builds costing $10,000's, and have been packaged into pre-configured themes that anybody can use as a starter for $199.

If you need customizations and functionality that aren't a part of our themes, we recommend the following agencies:

    • Shay Bocks
    • One Happy Studio from Susan Ramsey
    • OnceCoupled by Lauren Gray
    • LittleEye by Danielle

Prices for custom website builds range from $10,000 to $30,000(+).

    Virtual Assistants

This is simply a listing of virtual assistants we've picked up, we don't vouch for any of these services and they're here for reference purposes only.
