The favicon is used in the browser when a visitor is on your site, and in Googles Search Results. It should be set in two locations:
WordPress
The WordPress "Site Icon" is also known as a "favicon".
We recommend reviewing Google's favicon documentation.
In WordPress versions greater than 6.5.4, your favicon is set in Admin > Settings > General > Site Icon

This is configured/set by WordPress, and is not theme related.

The second place this should be set is an actual file in the root directory of your site. You will typically need to upload this via FTP.
Specific instructions for this will vary by host and you'll need to contact your host for assistance with this.

Unfortunately nothing can be done on our end if Google is not picking up the favicon you have set. Their documentation specifically says this:
Unfortunately we're unable to offer troubleshooting for favicon issues and recommend contacting your hosting company for assistance with this.
