The Yoast FAQ block allows you to qualify for the "People also ask" rich search result, which looks like this in search engines:
Because the FAQ block was released after the Feast Plugin, we've release styling for all themes via the Feast Plugin instead of the themes individually. This saves food bloggers the hassle of having to update a theme just to add styling for the FAQ block.
It also means that if (or more likely, when) Yoast updates their FAQ block, we can release a corresponding update to address the updated styles.
Check out the SEO for Publishers Webinar for more details on using the Yoast FAQ block.
Also make sure to check out our full Yoast configuration settings in the SEO for food bloggers post.
Failure to open on click
If the block fails to open on click, on desktop or mobile, this is typically the result of third party javascript breaking the javascript required to open/close the FAQ.
You'll need to resolve issues with third-party javascript in order to get it to function properly, typically caused by ads.
Collapsed FAQ
While we don't test or support this third party plugin, you can use FAQ Schema Block Accordion to create a collapsed Yoast FAQ block.
